This was sequel to approval and passage of the Report of the House Committee on Finance and Appropriation which was presented by the Chairman and member representing Owode-Onire Constituency, Ambali Ibrahim.
Capital expenditure is One Hundred and Thirteen point one billion naira from the One Hundred and Twelve point Five billion naira earlier presented by the executive representing an increase of Nine Hundred and Nine million naira.
The recurrent expenditure for the state now stands at Seventy Seven point six billion naira as against as against Seventy Six point Four billion naira earlier proposed representing a decrease of One point Six billion naira.
The Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu said that the capital expenditure is Fifty point two percent of the total budget estimate while recurrent expenditure stands at Forty Eight point three percent.
Engineer Danladi-Salihu said the 2023 appropriation is inline with the global best practices of budgeting pointing out that the Ninth Legislature has successfully carried out one of its mandates.
In line with order Eleven rule Seventy three of the House, the Clerk, Hajia Haleemah Kperogi read the bill for the third time for final passage and was directed to prepare a clean copy for the Governor’s assent.
