Abdulrazaq Charges Corps Members To Be Self-reliant

Outgoing National Youth Service Corps, NYSC members have been charged to see their one year experience in national service as a means to becoming employers of labour rather than job seekers.

Kwara State Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, gave the charge in a message to the passing out ceremony for the 2021 Batch A, Stream One corps members deployed to the State.

Governor Abdulrazaq, who was represented by his deputy, Mr Kayode Alabi, commended the youth for their meritorious service to the State and Nigeria as a whole, promising that the state government would continue to prioritize the welfare and security of corps members.

On her part, Kwara State NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Francisca Olaleye, lauded efforts of the corps member in the areas of advocacy, enlightenment and health initiative for rural dwellers.

An outgoing corps member, Adebayo Ademola, who was honoured with Kwara State merit award for excellent performance in his community development program through ICT, appreciated management of the NYSC for creating an environment for him to serve the nation.

A total of Seven hundred and thirty one corps members took part in the passing out ceremony which was last held in the state since 2019 due to Covid-19 and security concerns.
