The Kwara State College of Education Ilorin and College of Arabic and Islamic Legal Studies Ilorin have commenced indefinite strike, beginning from today.
Speaking Abubakar Umar after the protest, the Chairman of College of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU), Comrade Olasinde Baliqees said the indefinite strike action begin with immediate effect.
The Chairman of Academic Staff Union of Kwara State College of Arabic and Allied Institutions Academic Staff Union, Musa Maamud also explained that the reasons behind their decision to go on strike include; none payment of new minimum wage since April 2019, disparities on tax deductions and over tax, among others.
