ANCOPSS Charges Kwara Gov. On Implementation Of New Retirement Age For Teachers

Kwara State Government has been urged to implement the new retirement age and service years of Sixty-five and forty for teachers in the state.

The new President of All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, ANCOPSS, Kwara State Chapter, Comrade Umar Usman Abdullahi made the call during his inauguration in Ilorin.

Comrade Umar Abdullahi who applauded Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as well as leadership of the State Teaching Service Commission and the SUBEB for their positive intervention on education, noted that implementation of the new retirement age would further motivate teachers and enhance quality education.

The new ANCOPSS President pledged to consolidate on the achievements of his predecessors in improving the welfare of school principals and eradicating examination malpractices.

While commending the immediate past President of ANCOPSS, Alhaji Toyin Abdullahi and the principals both serving and retired for their commitment, he solicited their support to his administration.

In a remark, the out gone President of the Confederation, Alhaji Toyin Abdullahi enumerated his achievements and enjoined the new executive to consolidate on it, even as he also called on members to give maximum support to them.

Alhaji Toyin Abdullahi expressed appreciation to Kwara State Governor, leadership of TESCOM and SUBEB, all principals serving and retired for their support throughout his tenure, praying God to guide the new leadership of ANCOPSS.

There were good will messages from dignitaries that grace the occasion including the first Makama of Ilorin, former Commissioner for Education, Hajia Saadu Modibbo Kawu, Chairman, Kwara State Teaching Service Commission and that of SUBEB.
