The former governor of Kano and senator representing Kano Central, Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, has revealed that the majority in the Senate has started to propose the impeachment of the President, Muhammadu Buhari, due to the security problems.
Senator Shekarau, who is a member of the Security Committee of the Nigerian Senate, testified to this during an interview with BBC.
This issue of impeachment of Buhari on the problem of security breach caused a stir in the senate as a result of the heated debate among the members of the parliament.
‘The issue of impeachment from outside the APC member has come up’
Malam Ibrahim Shekarau said that he will not mention names, but the first person who started to raise this issue of seeking the impeachment of President Buhari in parliament is a member of the APC, and the second person who supported him before others is also a member of the APC.
