An Upper Sharia Court in Kano has sentenced controversial Islamic cleric, Abduljabbar Nasiru Kabara to death by hanging.
The court earlier convicted the embattled cleric after finding him guilty of the charge of blasphemy leveled against him.
The judge also called on all media to desist from using any of Abduljabbar’s teachings and pictures.
The convict was thereafter given 30 days to appeal the judgment or forfeit his right to appeal.
Abduljabbar had series of religious debates with famous Islamic scholars calling him to order on his deviant belief and blasphemous acts, but he insisted before he was finally taken to court to face trial.
