COVID-19: NCDC Records 1867 New Cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on Friday 15th of January 2021 confirmed additional 1,867 new cases of coronavirus infection across 23 states and the FCT.

According to the NCDC breakdown, Lagos recorded the highest cases of 713 followed by Plateau with 273, FCT-199, Kaduna-117, Oyo-79, Enugu-58, Ondo-53, Kano-49, Sokoto-43, Ogun-37 and Osun-37.

Others are Nasarawa-36, Rivers-28, Benue, Delta and Niger States 24 each, Gombe-18, Edo-15, Taraba-12, Bayelsa-10, Ekiti-9, Borno-6, Zamfara-2 and one in Jigawa State.

Nigeria now had 107,345 confirmed cases of COVID-19, 84,535 discharged and 1,413 deaths.

The confirmed cases worlds over as at press time is now 94,315,331 cases, 67,346,640 recovered and 2,017,913 deaths.
