Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, NSCDC, today paraded a 40 year old suspect, Boodo Abdullahi Alhaji at the Command Headquarters in Ilorin.
According to a statement by the command spokesman, Olasunkanmi Ayeni, the suspect was arrested at Owode through Banni in Kaiama LGA of the State.
He was alleged to have joined other suspects, currently in the custody of Nigeria Police, Oyo State command for robbery operation in Eruwa, Oyo state.
The suspects were said to have collected ransom from the victim’s family and still went ahead to kill the kidnap victim.
The statement explains that Boodo Abdullahi Alhaji fled Eruwa area, but was apprehended by men of NSCDC at Banni in Kaiama Local Government Area, while other suspects were being trailed.
The Kwara NSCDC Acting Commandant, Jonah Gabriel, appealed to kwarans to always give timely and accurate information about suspicious movements around them to the security agencies.
