Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Mr Sunday Dare has poured in encomium for Total E&P Nigeria Limited for it commitment towards the Development of Basketball in the country.
He gave the commendation in Lagos, the commercial nerve centre of Nigeria during the signing of Memorandum of understanding between the Nigeria Basketball Federation and Total E&P Nigeria Limited.
Mr. Dare said he was delighted with the support of the company, just as he urged other companies and individuals to emulate Total.
He commended the Board of the Nigerian Basketball Federation under the headship of Engineer Ahmadu Musa Kida for the federation’s achievements at both National and International levels.
The Managing Director of Total E&P Nigeria Ltd, Mr. Mike Sangster explained that the company was committed to basketball and youth development in Nigeria, hence the sponsorship of the National leagues.
Mr. Mike, at the event announced a 150 Million Naira- 5 years sponsorship deal.
In the same vein, President of the Nigerian Basketball Federation Engineer Ahmadu Musa Kida thanked Total for the gesture towards the development of Basketball in Nigeria.
