The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu sends his warmest greetings to the Nigerian Muslims, calling for deliberate efforts towards the nation’s unity.
Engr. Danladi-Salihu in his Sallah message to the Ummah, made the call, maintaining that Nigeria is better off as an entity, hence the need for critical stakeholders and Nigerians generally to prioritize national unity.
“As I heartily congratulate my brothers and sisters in Islam across the country especially my fellow kwarans on this great occasion of Eidul-Adha, it is important to remind ourselves of the great lessons of the festive period so we can reflect and ponder on them and play our part as citizens of this country to move Nigeria forward”
“Nations of the world are battling with one problem or the other and it is not an exception for Nigeria, the most important thing is for us to come together, stick together, and unite together in defense of our sovereignty and the efforts of our heroes past. Top on our challenges is the issue of insecurity – banditry, kidnapping, and insurgency in most cases, we can only defeat these challenges and defend our dear country Nigeria if we unite as one indivisible nation”
“As citizens, we should continually support our leaders with prayers and keep our hope alive in them, we should also support our traditional and religious leaders as well as security agents with credible intelligence reports that can help in crushing the insurgents, doing this would add impetus to our fight against insecurity.”
