Emir Bayero Tasks Politicians on Supporting Qur’anic Recitation Competition

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero has call on the attention of politicians in the state to imbibe the culture of supporting Islamic education and Qur’anic Recitation Competitions.

He made call during the opening ceremony of the 36th State Qur’anic Recitation Competition at School for Arabic Studies (SAS) over the weekend.

The Emir observed that investing in the development of Islam will pave way for them to achieve what they want to achieve Here and in the Hereafter.

Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who was represented by the Dan’Amar Kano, Alhaji Aliyu Harazumi Umar described Qur’anic Education as a bed Rock for a successful life of Muslims, hence the need for all hands to be on deck in fastracking it’s Recitation as well as adhering to it’s teaching.

He used the avenue to commend Kano State government for it’s untiring I commitment in supporting the Qur’anic Recitation Competition and other Islamic education.

He also expressed appreciation to the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru for his concern in the development of Tsangaya /Qur’anic education and the state education sector in general.

Remarking at the occasion, the state Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru challenged the participants of the Competition to perform very well so that the state will have favourable representation at National competition.

The Commissioner who was represented by the permanent Secretary of the ministry, Hajiya Lauratu Ado Diso, further urged the perticioants to also put into practice what they are reading from the holy Quran so that it will serve as a guide in their day today affairs.

While appreciating the contributions of the Board of Trustees for the Qur’anic Recitation, she said that the ministry will continue to support the activities of the Kano State Qur’anic and Islamiyya Schools Management Board.

In his welcome address, the Executive Chairman of the Kano State Qur’anic and Islamiyya Schools Management Board, Gwani Yahuza Gwani Danzarga expressed appreciation to the state government for it’s determine efforts in the development of Tsangaya schools and the standardization of his board.

Gwani Danzarga thump up the Commissioner of education for the concern he has been displaying to the board and it’s activities as well as his support to Qur’anic Recitation Competition in the State.

The chairman who encouraged the participants to perform extra hard, extends his big thank you to the Board of Trustees for the Musabaqa, wealthy individuals, parents and other stakeholders for facilitating the success of the Qur’anic Recitation Competition when ever the need arises.

Donating the sum of N2million Naira for the winners to be emmarged at the end of the Competition, the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Abdullahi Ladiyo urged the participants to put into practice what they have been reciting from the Holy Qur’an.

Alhaji Ladiyo who is a businessman and industrialist appealed to other wealthy individuals in the state to invest in supporting the development of Tsangaya and Qur’anic Recitation/Education.
