EndSARS: Sanwo-Olu calls for investigation into Lagos shooting

Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has called for calm in the state, following the shooting by soldiers at the Lekki Toll Gate area of the state.

He also call for investigation into the incident and ordered security agents not to arrest anyone on account of the curfew.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, on Tuesday.

The governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to security of the lives and property of Lagosians and pleaded with them to stay calm.

The incident comes hours after the Lagos State Government declared a 24-hour curfew as part of efforts to stop the violence which had broken out in some parts of the state by criminal elements who have been hijacking the protests.
