ICPC Nabs Ex-Jamb Boss, Dibu Ojerinde

Former Chief Executive Officer and Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB), Prof. Dibu Ojerinde has been arrested for alleged financial impropriety to the tune of N900 million by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other related Offence Commission (ICPC).

The Ex-JAMB registrar was arrested in Abuja for allegedly committing multiple frauds while heading JAMB and the National Examination Council (NECO), and had been detained by the Commission for questioning over allegations of abuse of office, multiple identities, tax evasion, money laundering, and making false statements to public officials.

Dr. Ojerinde is also being held for awarding contracts fraudulently to shell companies that cannot be traced.
