The National President of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union(IEDPU), Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman,fsi, has rejoiced with Muslim faithfuls all over the world on the occasion of the Eid Fitr, which symbolizes the end of the holy month of Ramadan.
Alhaji Uthman,in a statement signed on his behalf by the National Publicity Secretary of the Union, Alhaji Nurudeen Ibrahim, expressed his pleasure over the attitude of steadfastness, act of giving and self control displayed by Muslims during the just concluded Ramadan.
“As we all dedicated our times for the service of the Almighty Allah and the humanity all hands should be on deck to continue with more focus on things that will add values to ourselves and community at large.
All kinds of criminalities, immoralities and indecent acts were greatly reduced to the barest minimum during the month of Ramadan due to the importance attached to the month by Muslims.
“Let’s all live harmoniously with one another, play our roles for the growth and development of our dear Nation”.
With the current high level of insecurity and economic hardship confronting the Nation, there is the need for Government to put more efforts towards addressing the Nation challenges,as it’s everyone business to complement Government efforts in such regards.
The National President of IEDPU congratulates the Emir of Ilorin and Chairman, Kwara State Traditional Council of Emirs and Obas, Dr. Ibrahim Sulu- Gambari CFR, and the entire good people of Ilorin Emirate, Kwara State and Nigeria as a whole over the Eid-ul fitr celebration.
He urged the people not to relent in dedicating their times and resources towards the progress and Unity of the Nation and they should also celebrate this in a moderate and peaceful atmosphere.
Alhaji Uthman prayed Allah to preserve the lives of the people of the Emirate, Kwara State and strengthen the Nation with unity and stability to witness more of Eid-ul fitr celebrations.
