The Emir of Ilorin and Chairman Kwara State Council of Chiefs, Mai-Martaba Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, has appointed a new “Ajanasi-agba” of Ilorin.
He is Mallam Yusuf Mujitaba Bature. The new Ajanasi-agba, 34 years of age, has a Masters Degree in Arabic from the University of Ilorin.
In a statement issued by the Secretary to Ilorin Emirate Council, Alhaji S.A. Lawal, the new Ajanasi-agba is currently an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Linguistics, University of Ilorin.
Mallam Bature was appointed after thorough consultation, oral examination and screening of the qualifications of all the six candidates who applied for the Post.” Maxilensnews gathered.
