The president of Medical Women Association of Nigeria (MWAN) Kano chapter Dr Rahila Mukhtar has Charged medical women and other medical practitioners to expidite Actions in creating more awareness to the general populace in Accepting the Covid 19 Vaccination .
Dr Rahila Mukhtar stated this during a One day Sensitization meeting with members of MWN on the second phase of Covid 19 Vaccination Organized by MIWAN in collaboration with UNICEF held at Tahir guest palace Hotel Kano.
She said the aim of the sensitization workshop was to sensitized their members the importance of the Covid 19 Vaccination,so that they can pass the message to the larger community,geared towards Achieving the stated Goals.
” This workshop is organized for all female medical Doctors working in Kano state ,so that they will be equipped with the requisite knowledge of the importance of Covid 19 Vaccination,and this will play a vital role in passing the message to the people”
Dr Rahila Mukhtar maitained that the wave of Covid 19 in Kano was drastically goin down ,hence the sensitization workshop would serve as an avenue of Brainstorming modalities of Curtaling the spread of the Virus.
In a remark an expert on public health from the Kano state Ministry of Health Dr Sadiq Shuaibu said the Sensitization training would help immensely in sensitizing the larger society on accepting the Covid 19 Vaccination.
“If a woman is fully sensitized is like you are sensitizing the whole Society,because the message would passed to the family, Community and the society at Large”
Dr Halima Adamu is a medical practitioner from Aminu Kano Teaching hospital Kano, and was among the participants of the sensitization workshop,she said the workshop was very timely.
” As a medical practitioner who come in contact with many patients ,I think the sensitization would enlighten me more of measures needed to be taken to prevent myself and my patients from Covid 19″
Another participant from AKTH Dr Fa’iza lawal said the more equipped they are on issue related to covid 19,the better for them especially in enlightening their clients and patients on the importance of accepting covid 19 Vaccination.
The one day sensitization workshop was attended by Women medical practitioners working in Kano.
