Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed Justice Abdullateef Kamaldeen as Grand Khadi of the State Shariah Court of Appeal Ilorin.
The confirmation of Justice Abdullateef Kamaldeen was sequel to his screening on the floor of the House, which was presided by the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu.
Responding to some of the questions put to him by the legislatures, Justice Kamaldeen assured them of the plans of extending Shariah Court Rooms to the nooks and crannies of the state for easy access to Shariah Justice.
According to him, outcome of a Special Committee which consists of the academic and legal practitioners which had earlier been constituted, would serve as a guide in extending Shariah Court to where they are needed in the state.
Speaking on rampant divorce in the society, Justice Kamaldeen recommended reconciliation as the best option against litigation.
Justice Kamaldeen promised to always explore Alternative Dispute Resolution mechanism to reduce marriage disintegration among couples in the contemporary society.
