Kwara Gov. Mourns Moonlight’s Editor, Issa Saliu

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has commiserated with the family and the media fraternity on the death of the publisher of _Real News_, an online platform, and Editor of Moonlight Newspaper Mallam Issa Saliu.

Mallam Issa died on Monday and has been buried according to Islamic rites.

The Governor described his death as a painful loss to all.

“I send our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and the media community, especially the state Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, National League of Veteran Journalists, and the Moonlight newspaper. We take solace in the fact that he made his mark as a journalist who contributed his bits to the advancement of free press and democratic development,” the Governor said in a statement.

“I pray to Almighty God to forgive his shortcomings, admit him Aljanat Firdaus, and comfort all those he left behind, including his dear wife and children.”
