State PDP Chairman, Engineer Kola Shittu while addressing a press conference in Ilorin the state capital, said that Governor Abdulrazaq has shown lack of human empathy and gross insensitivity to the life-threatening disaster occasioned by the recent torrential rainstorm across the State.

Engineer Shittu expressed worry that, Forty-Eight hours after the government set up a committee on the disaster, no concrete step or action has been taken and wondered how the Governor came about the report that fifteen thousand persons have been displaced and properties and farm products worth ten billion naira damaged.

The PDP Chairman also called for an independent investigation into gross allegation of financial recklessness against the state government where local council funds are unaccounted for as well as high level corruption and diversion of public funds by senior officials of the State Internal Revenue Service.
