Ahead of the 2023 general elections, the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has taken campaign trail to Baruten Local Government Area of the state, rooting for the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to be the next president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Rt. Hon. Danladi-Salihu who birthed his campaign activities from Bode Babane in Ilesha district of Baruten toured every nook and corner as well as palaces of the Emirs and village heads in the Local Government (to seek for Royal blessings) and selling the candidature of Asiwaju and Gov. AbdulRazaq as well as all the state House of Assembly candidates to the electorates.
“For us in the forthcoming general elections, the choice before us is one and the task is simple: to vote for all APC candidates from top to bottom so that we can have sustainable infrastructural development that would in turn drive us to economic posterity”
“We have seen the many giant and impressive works of APC government especially here in Kwara State under the leadership of our charismatic Governor who has, in the last four years given Kwarans a new lease of life by restoring the hitherto comatose system inherited from the past government. Today, we are enjoying dividend of democracy, our women and youth are gainfully employed and empowered, road network, schools and hospitals are built and renovated, among many other projects of the current administration”
“Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been tested and trusted, he has done it before and we strongly believe that he has the capacity, experience and exposure needed to build a virile nation for us. Therefore, on Saturday, let’s go out in large number to vote for Asiwaju, Senator Sulaiman Sadiq and Honourable Omar Bio. Two weeks after, it would be the time to appreciate our amiable Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq by reelecting him for a second time in office and all our state Assembly candidates including Hon. Muhammad Baba Salihu, Okuta Yashikira and my humble self, Ilesha Gwanara state constituency”.
The village-to-village campaign trails also visited and received royal blessings from the Emirs of Okuta, Ilesha, Gwanara and Yashikira Emirates as well as village and community heads where they all expressed satisfaction with what they described as impressive and unprecedented performance of Governor AbdulRazaq led administration.

Gbagbe, Biogberu, Okuta, Teu, Tenge, Bankubu, Fonfon, Boshiru, Boriya, Shiya

Gure, Yashikira, Chikanda, Gwane, Gwossora among other settlements where the Rt. Hon. Speaker and his team was given assurance to deliver for the APC in the polls.
The Speaker’s campaign trail had in attendance, Senator Sadiq Suleiman, Kwara North, Hon. Omar Bio, Baruten/Kaiama Representative, the APC House of Assembly Candidate for Ilesha/Gwanara State Constituency, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, the APC House of Assembly Candidate for Okuta/Yashikira State Constituency, Hon. Mohammed Baba Salihu, cabinet members and other party stakeholders.
