KWASU VC Pledges Adequate Power Supply On Campus

Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Muhammad Mustapha-Akanbi has pledged to ensure adequate and sustainable power supply on campus.

Professor Mustapha-Akanbi made this known while flagging off the installation of One hundred and fourteen million Naira worth of solar power system equipment.

He said that the improved electricity supply will not only aid KWASU in achieveing its mandates of teaching, research and community development, but also guarantee security of lives and property in the institution.

According to him, on completion of the installation of the solar energy equipment KWASU solar farm will generate an additional Three hundred kilowatts of electricity.

The Director, KWASU Center for Sustainable Energy, Professor Kajogbola Ajao noted that the solar panels will boost the power generation from the solar farm from its present 300kW capacity to Six hundred kilowatts
