NBA Advocates financial autonomy for Judiciary; knowledge update for judicial workers

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has called on state governors to give financial autonomy to the judiciary to promote speedy and efficient dispensation of justice.

National president of NBA, Barrister Olumide Akpata made the call when he visited governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa state at the government house, lafia.

Barrister Akpata said the call became expedient to ensure improvement in infrastracture and capacity building for judicial staff and law officers.

Barrister Akpata also canvassed for more regular training and knowledge update for law officers as well as better renumeration.

He commended governor Abdullahi Sule for providing insfractructure and human capital development to law officers in the state.

In a remark, governor Abdullahi Sule assured the NBA leadership of his administration’s commitment to meet basic needs of judial officers in the State.
