The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed Seven Hundred and Ninety-six new cases of COVID-19 across the country.
According to the NCDC update for yesterday, Two hundred and fifty-eight cases were recorded in Abuja, Two hundred and forty-eight in Lagos, One hundred and seventeen in Kaduna and fifty-two in Katsina.
Ogun – twenty-seven, Kwara- twenty-three, Gombe- twenty-two,
Adamawa- seventeen,
Plateau- fifteen,
Kano- six while Rivers, Ondo, Ekiti, Nasarawa, Sokoto recorded two cases each and One in Taraba State.
As at yesterday, Nigeria had confirmed Seventy-two thousand, One hundred and forty cases of COVID-19 out of which Sixty-five Thousand, Seven Hundred and Twenty-two patients were treated and discharged.
The country, however, recorded One Thousand, One Hundred and Ninety COVID-19 related deaths.
As at now, the world recorded over Seventy-one point five Million cases of the virus while over Forty-nine point six Million recovered and over One point six Million died.
