The Kwara State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, did passing out parade for 302 recruits who are 2019 intakes today 29th June, 2022 after their mandatory three (3) months basic training.
The event which took place at the Base ball stadium Adewole estate Ilorin, kwara state was attended by His Excellency Mallam Abdulrasaq Abdulrahaman the Executive Governor of Kwara state ably represented by the SSA Security Alhaji Aliu Muyideen, The representative of Emir of Ilorin Alhaji (Dr)Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari ably represented by the Balogun Alanamun of Ilorin Alhaji (Dr) Uthman Atolagbe Abubakar, The Commissioner of police Kwara state Command who also doubles as the CP Tuesday Asoyomo, The representative of the Brigade Commander 22 Brigade Sobi, Col. MI Jubril and other service commanders within the state.
In his opening speech, the Acting Commandant of NSCDC Kwara Command, DCC Jonah Gabriel appreciated all the guests. He said the training and passing out of the new officers and men would have come much earlier than now but for the global pandemic (COVID 19) which disrupted alot of things globally. He also said the newly recruited Officers and men will still go for further trainings in NSCDC training schools after the basic regular recruit 3 months mandatory training. While congratulating the new officers and men, He urged them to be of good character and good ambassadors of the Corps.
In his good will message, CP Asoyomo who spoke on behalf of other service Commanders congratulated the corps and the new officer and men. He charged them to give their best in their service to the nation. He reminded them of the prevailing security challenges facing the nation at this point and the need for them to work very hard so as to assist the system in achieving a secured and safe society.
In his Remarks, the Review officer, Alhaji Aliu Muyideen SSA security to Kwara state Governor commended the corps for always been a pride to the state and the nation.
He felicitated with the new officer and men and admonished them to jealously guide the trust reposed in them by the public. He assured the corps of a continuous supports from the state Government. He charged the new officers and men to give their best towards stability of security and peace in kwara state.
