The Kwara State Command, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has arrested one Muhammadu Mailemu of Sango area Banni, community for allegedly raping a Ten year old girl.
According to a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Zaid Afolabi, the victim’s father, Usman Mojana of Gaa Mojana, Banni reported the case at the NSCDC headquarters in Ilorin.
According to the complainant, the accused molested the minor on the farm while she was plucking locust beans together with her younger sister.
The spokesperson to the Kwara NSCDC explained that tests and examinations carried out on the little girl revealed that she was forcefully penetrated.
Officer Afolabi added that upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime and had been taken into custody for further action.
