NUJ Inter-Chapel Tennis Tourney: Harmony FM Adebara Sodiq Ready To Fight For Top Prize

Ahead of the Kwara NUJ Inter -Chapel Table Tennis Championship,the representative of Radio Nigeria ( Harmony FM) , Adebara Sodiq has expressed his readiness to clinch the highest prize of the tournament.

Adebara, who noted that although the event will see him slugging it out with some veterans in the game said he’s not going to be intimidated by their track records.

“I am ready for the Championship. I believe in my ability and with the support of my chapel, I will clinch Gold” he said.

The Inter-Chapel Table Tennis which tournament is powered by the Special Adviser on Sports and Youth Development to the Kwara State Governor, Mallam Attahiru Ibrahim will kick off on Wednesday August 17th, 2022, at the NUJ Press Centre, Offa Road, GRA, Ilorin.

The tournament is being staged to strengthen the unity and togetherness among the Chapels, and also to promote the spirit of sports development among the journalists.

Adebara will be up against other Nine contestants in the Male category with the likes of Jide Allen (Radio Kwara), Baba Ibrahim (National Orientation Agency), Babatunde Jimba (Kwara TV), Kale Yakub (NTA Ilorin) Ganiyu Adebisi Yusuf (State Information), Demola Akinyemi of Vanguard Newspaper (Correspondents’ Chapel), Ahmed Ajiboye (The Herald), Kehinde Adeseko (Federal Information) and Ahmed Ibrahim (National Pilot).

The finals of the tournament is scheduled to hold on August 18th, 2022 from 4pm.
