The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede has appealed to striking lecturers to resume.
Oloyede appealed to parties to reach a truce to ensure affected students return to the classrooms.
While urging the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to call off the ongoing industrial action by the university lecturers in the country, he also described the ongoing industrial strike action as avoidable.
He said that incessant strike action by unions in the nation’s tertiary institutions was capable of causing irreparable damage on not just the students but also the nation.
He acknowledged the fact that the primary responsibility of reasonable and adequate funding for public health and education institutions lies solely on the Government.
