Islam places the entire life of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a master plan to emulate because if one chooses to emulate the life style of another different from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), probably, one may not be balanced and may not succeed in life.

Basically, the entire life of Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) is just like a manual which gives details and practical instructions on how to live life in order to make a headway.
Hence, Allah (SWT) states categorically and promulgated Law regulating emulation of Prophet Muhammad. I refer you to Q33:21 and i quote

“Indeed in the messenger of Allah (Muhammad) you have a good example to follow for him who hopes for meeting with Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah much”

.

The purport of the above verse is that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the ideal person worthy of emulation for those who hope for successful end.

There are numerous good characters left behind by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) to emulate, to mention a few:

Truthfulness
Trustworthiness and
Transparency.

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) exhibited highest level of morality and proved to the entire World that not until an individual engages in vices ranging from financial infraction, deceit, fraud and criminal breach of trust before success comes his way.

Let me take you through the history lane, before the prophethood of Muhammad (PBUH), he was employed by The then famous and business mogul, Khadijah bint Khuwailid as a trader trading in all sorts of goods from one village to another. what amazed Khadijah was that, the Prophet returned without goods but only with money and gave comprehensive account of capital sum, profit and excess profit, as such, this action subjected Khadijah into deep thought that how could he give account of excess profit! she admired the truthfulness and transparency in him which consequently led to their marriage.
In a related development, Khadijah submitted herself to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), then the Prophet assumed leadership role and took control over Khadijah and her wealth.

In a nutshell, lesson from the above life of the Prophet is that, with truthfulness and trustworthiness, all yearning and aspirations are achievable without manipulation.

In conclusion, implore Government at all levels, religious leaders, private organizations, business establishments, artisans and traders to take heed, emulate characteristics of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as ordained in the scripture, be diligent in all transactions and discharge trust repose on them with utmost good faith. More importantly, we have a good example to follow in the Prophet whose truthfulness and trustworthiness in the course of financial transactions accorded him highest integrity in human history. May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon the Prophet, his companions and his household.
