Kwara: ANCOPSS Calls On Govt. To Address Salary Disparities Between SUBEB And Others

All Nigerian Confederation of Principals of Secondary School, ANCOPSS, has appealed to the Kwara State Government to look into the issue of salary disparity between the workers of the State Universal Basic Education Board, SUBEB and others.

President of the ANCOPSS, Comrade Umar Abdullahi made the appeal during the state Executive Council meeting of the confederation held at the Idofian Grammar School, Idofian, Kwara State.

Comrade Umar Abdullahi also urged the government to address the issue of outstanding promotion letters of teachers of the SUBEB and the Teaching Service Commission, TESCOM.

The ANCOPSS President, however, enjoined his members to continue to maintain good conduct at their schools by adhering to all rules and regulations guiding the education sector in the state.

While, commending Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his giant stride on education reform in the state, Comrade Umar Abdullahi congratulated the governor on his reelection for the second term in office, praying God to continue to guide him to paddle the affairs of the state successfully.

Comrade Umar Abdullahi, however, advised his members to take their health issue seriously by engaging in regular exercises, medical checkups and ensure adequate stress management.

Earlier, in an address of welcome, the ANCOPSS Chairman, Omupo Zone and Principal of Idofian Grammar School, Mr Bakare Olabode called on the State Government, as well as the leadership of ANCOPSS and NUT to work on implementation of the elongation of teachers years of service from Sixty to Sixty-five years.

Mr Bakare also enjoined Principals, teachers and students to maintain sanity in their school as WAEC, NECO and BECE examinations approaches, reminding them that the law against examination malpractices is still in force.

Correspondent Abdullah Ahmed reports that there were goodwill messages from representatives of NUT, AOPSHON, PTA, veterans and other stakeholders in Omupo zone.
