The Chairman of All Progressive Congress APC, Kwara State Chapter, Prince Sunday Fagbemi has said that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has made a deliberate effort to depart from the culture of using youth as political thugs in Kwara State.

He made the statement when members of the Kwara APC New media paid a courtesy visit to his office at the party secretariat along the commissioner’s lodge way, GRA Ilorin.

During the strategic meeting, Prince Fagbemi noted that his tenure as the State APC Chairman will align with the vision of Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq in ensuring that the future of youths in the State and politics gets brighter to better their endeavors, unlike in the past where a political dynasty would give crumbs for immediate needs to the youth and turned them to some political thugs creating unrest in the society.

The APC Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Tajudeen Aro who led the team to the Chairman’s Office traced the existence of the team to the time when Honorable AbdulRaheem Ajulo-Opin was fielded to contest for a bye-election of Ekiti/Irepodun/Isin/and Oke-Ero federal constituency of Kwara State in 2018 but the team was eventually inaugurated in the pre-2019 general election, he said.

“Sir, Let me emphasize that this set of young progressive-minded youths has been with APC for a long time and doing the media job for the party on their commitments without remuneration from anybody to compensate them, and yet to date, they stay committed to the cause.

The spoke person for the team, Usman Yunusa who was represented by Tobi Mathew said the team is being driven by the progressive ideology of the party, and the governance style of the Governor, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.

In his remarks, he also highlighted some key aspects where the APC New Media team will consolidate upon while also exploring every media means in promoting the achievement of the Government and activities of the party at all levels. This will further prepare the party ahead of the forthcoming general elections in the State.
