The Chairman of Kwara football Association Mallam Idris Musa has assured the FA readiness to accommodate the under 17 national team camping exercise in preparations ahead of West Africa Football Union, WAFU tournament scheduled to hold in Benin Republic between December 12th to 20th.
Mallam musa gave the assurance while speaking to newsmen in Ilorin.
He said every necessary arrangements have been put in place to ensure that the players enjoy their stay in Ilorin during the camping.
Mallam Musa affirmed that Nigeria Football Federal chose Ilorin for the camping exercise because of its peaceful, conducive, and Serene environments, knowing that there won’t be any distractions during exercise.
The Kwara F A chairman said the presence of the under 17 team in Ilorin would be a moral booster to other players in the state who are dreaming of wearing green and white in their football careers.
According to him the presence of the team would also be an added advantage for kwara Football academy players and players in other academies in the state to showcase their talents when engaging in friendly matches.
He noted that NFF had in the past recognized kwara state as a home for football because of its excellent records in under age football competitions, citing the triumph in Ramat Cup, U- 13 national football competition and under 15 laliga as good examples.
The football administrator also confirmed the sports loving Kwara state Governor,Mallam Abdulraman Abdulraman readiness to give maximum supports to the camping program and called other stakeholders in the sports industry to also contribute thier quotas in making the camping a memorable event.
The team is expected to camp in Ilorin the Kwara state Capital for 30 days ahead of the Africa Regional Competition in Republic of Benin.
