The Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has sent warm greetings to Christians in Kwara, Nigeria and across the globe as they celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ.

“It pleases me to celebrate with and congratulate my brothers and sisters on this joyous occasion of Christmas celebration as they join the rest of the world to mark the birth of Jesus Christ”, Engr. Danladi-Salihu noted in his Christmas message to the Christians.

“Beyond wining and dining and merrymaking during this festive season, we need to also reflect and emulate on those distinct attributes of Jesus Christ such as tolerance, endurance, selflessness and perseverance and most importantly, love for others so that we can truly prosper and progress as a people and a nation”

“I want to commend Christians for their support towards the government, as I ask for more support, cooperation and understanding, please be assured that the Ninth Legislature under my watch would continue to prioritize legislation that would further make life easy and bearable for our people, more important those at the grassroots”

“While the celebration continues, please let’s be moderate in our celebration and adhere strictly to ALL the COVID-19 and other health advisory protocols as we currently battle the fourth wave of the pandemic. Again, in the spirit of the season, let’s also remember our leaders in prayers for God to bless them with needed divine guidance and wisdom to pilot the affairs of the state”

“On behalf of my colleagues at the Kwara State House of Assembly, the Ninth Assembly, I once again wish Christians a wonderful merry Christmas and a prosperous year”.
