Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has sent his warm greetings to Christians as the Christendom celebrates Easter to commemorate the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Engr. Danladi-Salihu while congratulating the Christian community in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Sheu Abdulkadir Yusuf urged the faithful to reflect on the lessons and essence of the season, sacrifice, and love their fellow as well as pray for Nigeria’s victory over her challenges.
“Compliments of the season to my Christian brothers and sisters as the world marks Easter celebration which revolves around the teachings of love and sacrifices for others as exemplified by Jesus Christ”, the speaker noted.
“As we celebrate in this joyous season, it is my passionate appeal to the Christian faithful to remember our leaders and Nigeria in prayer for divine guidance and breakthrough over challenges facing our nation”.
“As lawmakers in the Kwara State House of Assembly, the Ninth Legislature, we would continue to do our best to make laws that would make life more meaningful to the citizenry”, he added.
