EID Celebration: Kwara Gov. Cautions Muslims On Floating Political Party’s Banner At Praying Ground

Ahead of the 2023 Eidel Fitri Celebration, Kwara State Government says it has concluded arrangements to ensure a hitch-free celebration.

The government, in a statement, advised members of the public to be law abiding and organised themselves in an orderly manner towards successful conduct of the Eid prayers at the Ilorin Eid Prayer Ground on eid day.

The statement jointly signed by the Chairman Eid Committee, Dr A. A. Amuda and the Director, Security and Special Services, Governor Office, Alhaji Gesinde Amosa Adedeji urges worshippers to arrive at the eid prayer ground latest by 8 O’clock in the morning.

It also indicates that vehicles should be parked at the designated car parks while motor cycles and tricycles are not allowed in the premises of the Eid Prayer Ground.

It also directed that all broken down vehicles be removed from the premises while all worshippers presently using the eid premises for prayer activities are also advised to vacate latest by 4pm today to allow security operatives do their job.

According to the statement, observing prayers by the road side, as well as hawking and begging along the routes and inside the Eid Premises are prohibited.

Similarly, sachet water, bottle water, can drinks, bags and luggage as well as leaflets and banners of political parties and organisations or megaphone are not allowed at the prayer ground.

While wishing Muslims and Kwarans a successful celebration, the State Government advised parents to take adequate care of their children to prevent them from roaming about at the prayer ground.
