Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has called on the Muslim Ummah to use this period of Sallah to rededicate themselves to service to humanity in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad.
The Governor made the call in a statement to mark Eid – el – Kabir celebration in Lafia.
According to Governor Sule, the occasion provided opportunity for believers to show obedience to Allah in prayers for the nation, sacrifice and love for one another at all times.
He however directed the Federal Road Safety Corps and other security agencies to intesify surveillance patrol in all parts of the state to ensure hitch free celebration.
The Governor further cautioned residents of the state not to lose sight of the fact that the COVID 19 pandemic is still here with us and stressed the need for strict maintenance of the preventive measures especially wearing of face masks,regular hand washing and physical distancing.
