As the scarcity of Premium Motor Spirit, PMS popularly known as petrol bites harder in Ilorin, Petroleum marketers operating within and around Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, have, again, been urged to emulate the Bovas Petroleum Services Company by ensuring that petroleum products are sold to members of the public as expected to ease their suffering.
This appeal was made by the National President of Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union, (IEDPU), Alhaji Aliyu Otta Uthman ,fsi, while speaking at an event in Ilorin on the increasing difficulty the people of the community and the entire residents of Ilorin are facing in getting their vehicles fueled as well as the attendant general transportation challenges.
Alhaji Uthman explained that it is evidently clear that Bovas Petroleum Services Company has been up and doing in the discharge of its services to its numerous customers before and since the problems associated with fuel began.
While noting that almost all the outlets of the firm in Ilorin and its environ dispense services to customers at the approved pump prices ,Alhaji Uthman added that “if other marketers had been as public spirited as Bovas is getting our vehicles fueled would not have been as problematic as it is”.
Alhaji Uthman also appealed to the federal government to urgently take a critical look at issues surrounding the problem as he noted that members of the public are not finding things easy as a result of the lingering fuel scarcity.
While thanking the management and staff of the Bovas Petroleum Services Company for their unrelenting efforts at resolving the problem, Alhaji Uthman appealed to other petroleum marketers to discharge their services with the fear of Allah.
