The death of Chief Rex Kọla Olawoye has been described as shocking and devastating to the political class in Kwara State.
In a condolence message sent by the Gbenga Power Foundation Chairman, Hon. Gbenga Oyekunle expressed grief over the demise of the APC Chieftain at a time he ought to reap the fruits of his labour on Kwara politics.
Gbenga Power described the late elder Statesman politician as a symbol of democracy to the point of death. He lamented that the political vacuum created by the death of Chief Rex Olawoye in political mentorship of younger generation, shall be difficult to fill.
Noting that death is inevitable to every soul, Gbenga Power prayed that the Almighty forgive the shortcomings of the deceased and Give his immediate and political family the fortitude to bare the great loss.
