Jigawa Completes Airlift of Pilgrims

Jigawa state pilgrims welfare board has concluded the airlift of over 1,600 intending pilgrims from the state in 4 batches to Saudi arabia for the 2023 hajj exercise.

In an interview with Radio Nigeria at Nuhu Muhammadu Sanusi International airport before their departure, the Executive Secretary of the board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo said, the first batch of 559 intending pilgrims of the state have been airlifted through Max Air from Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi International Airport to Madina on 31st May,2023.

According to him, the second flight took-off with total number of ‎358 pilgrims, including some centre officers, medical personnel and some officials of the board by Azman Air.

He added that, the third batch of 406 pilgrims from Jigawa state airlifted from Dutse to Jeddah yesterday 7th June, adding that the last flight with total number over 255 pilgrims were airlifted aboard Azman Air.
