The Kano State Commissioner of Police Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko stated this while parading the suspects to Journalist at Bompai the Kano police headquarters.
He said in line with the Directives given by the Inspector General of Police on Community Policing and I quality police service,the Command has Sustained raids of Criminal hideouts blàckspots .
Commissioner Samaila Shuaibu Dikko explained that within the last thirty Days the Command was able to arrest one hundred and fifty six suspects for Committing various offences in the State.
” 18 Suspects were arrested for Armed Robbery, 8 for kidnapping ,10 were arrested for Cattle Rustling ,7 Suspected Drug Dealers ,13 Suspected motor vehicle thieves ,5 Suspected Fraudstars,and 95 suspected Thugs (‘yan Dana)”
Sama’ila Shuaibu Dikko maitained that within the time under review 14 kidnapped victims were rescued.
He noted that 10 rifles were recovered, 16 motor vehicle’s were recovered, other items recovered includes ,16 tricyles ,3 motor circles ,5 cows, 76 knives, others include 34 mobile Hands ,5 packates of Air Conditions .
The Commissioner further explained that three Bags and twenty six parcels of Dried leaves Suspected to be Indian Hemp, Valued Two Million,One Hundred Thousand Naira.
He appreciated the support of people and Government of Kano state, and urged the general populace to expedite action in collaborating with the security agencies aimed at Having a secured Society.
