Kogi: Yahya Bello Unveils Ambulances, Fire Trucks, Gifts SUVs

Thirty state of the art ambulances and three fire fighting trucks have been procured by the Kogi State Government to improve access to healthcare delivery and boost emergency health intervention across the state.

Also distributed were 10 SUVs to newly appointed judges as well as over 25 official vehicles for principal officers and members of the state House of assembly.

While unveiling the new procurements at the Muhammadu Buhari Square, Lokoja, Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello said that the facilities would enhance efficiency and save more lives that would have been lost due to poor emergency response.

The Governor pointed out that his administration had demonstrated inclusiveness across all arms of government and sectors of the state which would be sustained by the incoming administration.

He further noted that the welfare of judicial officers and legislators would remain a priority to his administration until he leaves office in January.

Kogi State Chief Judge, Justice Josiah Majebi applauded the governor for prioritizing the welfare of judicial officers which he said would enhance performance of their duties.

The state Commissioner for Health, Doctor Usman Zakari disclosed that the Bello-led administration had engaged over three thousand health professionals since 2018 in addition to building new health infrastructure across the three senatorial districts of the state.

Earlier, Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Umar Yusuf applauded what he described as unwavering commitment of the governor to other arms of government which would boost their morale.
