The African Democratic Congress, ADC candidate for Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Federal Constituency, Honourable Gbenga Oyekunle-Power, says women and Youth in the constituency would be accorded top priority if elected.
Honourable Gbenga- Power who stated this during another round of distribution of bags of Rice for people in Babaloma, Ifelodun Local Government Area, pointed out that when women and Youth are engaged, their standard of living will improve thereby having a ripple effect on the economy of their locality.
The Philantropist turned politician said that the mode of his empowerment, if given the opportunity as a Federal Lawmaker will be a complete departure from the common practices that hardly have any impact on the so-called beneficiaries.
He emphasised that he will ensure that the extension of generosity reaches the Three Local Governments for the people to celebrate the festive season with contentment.
“I have promised to share One Thousand Five Hundred bags of Rice for Christmas celebration, so far about One Thousand and Sixty Bags have been distributed but I wish to every nock and cranny of the three local governments, I don’t mind going out on Christmas day to ensure people celebrate in a joyous mood”.
A youth in Babalomo, Mr Aliu Shogo said the first time he met with him was during COVID-19 pandemic when he shared foodstuffs to alleviate sufferings of the people, urged him to work with trustworthy people for positive achievement.
“My name is Aliu Shogo, I got to know you during COVID-19 when you came to share foodstuffs for people, that’s when I developed likeness for your attitude, please make sure people working for you deliver to the right channels”.
Head of Fulani in Babalomo, Oyayi, said the people of the community will be happy if portable water is provided for them.
In Share, Honorable Gbenga Power said the Rice is his way of celebrating Christmas with the people.
An elder in Share Community, Alhaji Salu pray for the victory of Gbenga Power in the coming elections, describing him as a wonderful philanthropist.
The huge crowd at Babanla waited patiently for the arrival of the ADC candidate for Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Federal Constituency, who was received with different eulogies to depict his level of kindness towards them.
Oluwo of Babanla, Yahya Bello showered Gbenga Power with prayers, while expressing optimism that his ambition to become a member of the Federal House of Representatives become reality.
“Gbenga Power has been good to the people of Babanla, it is now the time to reciprocate his numerous gestures by casting our votes for him during election “.
The Oba of Babanla, His Royal Highness, Oba Aliyu Yusuf also gave Gbenga Power his blessings.
The ADC candidate for Ifelodun, Offa and Oyun Federal Constituency, Hounourable Gbenga Oyekunle Power said he is yet to flag off his campaign, the visit to Babanla is to extend the distribution of Christmas Rice to the people.
Oyekunle said “Christmas is the time for celebration, I may not be able to come to Babanla for the celebration, that’s why I brought Bags of Rice to share among everyone”.
In Ora, some of the elders who spoke with Honorable Gbenga Power, Mr Yakub Salami and Madam Elizabeth assured him of their unalloyed loyalty at times.
