Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq has forwarded the Kwara State University of Education and the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital bills to the Kwara State House of Assembly for consideration and passage.
In the messages read by the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danlad-Salihu during plenary, Governor AbdulRazaq explained that the Kwara State University of Education, is a premier institution dedicated to the training of teachers, that will offer comprehensive programs aimed at producing highly qualified educators ,adopt educational research to enhance teaching methodologies and policies.
The Governor expressed his firm belief that the bill when enacted, will play pivotal role in elevating the standard of educators throughout the state, hence the need for the house to prioritise the consideration and passage of the University of Education bill inline with the administration’s commitment to nurturing a progressive Kwara State.
Similarly, the Kwara State University Teaching Hospital bill according to Governor AbdulRaman AbdulRazaq is to enhance and optimize the operation of the hospital inline with the aim of improving health-care landscape in the state through careful amendment and revisions.
The State University Teaching Hospital according to the governor’s message would aid seamless delivery of health care services to the people of kwara State by significantly contribute to accessibility and quality of health care across the state.
Governor AbdulRazaq urged the lawmakers to accord the Kwara State Teaching Hospital bill the necessary expedited consideration and passage for a more healthier state.
Engineer Danladi-Salihu has referred the two bills to the House Committee on Rules and Business for scheduling and for first reading.
