Mothers and child caregivers in general have been advised to be cautious of the kind of company their children keep.
First Lady of the Kwara State, Dr.Olufolake AbdulRazaq stated this while speaking at a programme with the theme “Prayer for Peace and Security in Nigeria” organized by her office in Ilorin.
Dr.Olufolake who observed that security is everybody’s business, enjoined religious leaders to always reflect peaceful coexistence in their preaching noting that the security situation in the country calls for concern.
According to her, leaving prayer out of the challenges facing the nation is tantamount to ignoring the latent functions of faith and religion in human society.
Dr Olufolake implored everyone to stay vigilant and share information with the security agencies in the event of any suspicious activities around them.
Earlier, Secretary to the State Government Professor Jibrin Shaba-Mammah described prayer as a root which is very powerful and urged women not to relent in their effort of praying for peace in the state and the country at large.
Professor Mammah said that the program is very timely admonished women and every members of the society not to relent in prayer.
An Islamic Cleric, Alhaji Muhammed Eyonbo-Anabi likened the troubles the nation was going through to the trials of Prophet Mohammed and Jesus Christ noting that they overcame after praying fervently.
Alhaji Eyonbo-Anabi prayed for peace in the nation and tasked Nigerian Leaders to tackle the issues of insecurity.
Also speaking, from the book of John Sixteen verses Thirty-three Venerable Olukayode Omolaja, said human security can fail but God can never fail.
Venerable Omolaja maintained that the issue of security cannot be over emphasized and prayed for a crisis free country.
