The Kwara State government says it is aware of some hitches in the payment of salary for civil servants at the state level for October.

The hitches, and some accompanying issues such as non-deduction of some statutory dues like labour union check-up dues, are due to a change in the payment platform technology/software.

The whole essence of the platform switch is to ensure more efficiency and integrity of the payroll in the overall interest of the state. Efforts are already being made to address the issues.Â
