Kwara State House of Assembly has confirmed four additional Commissioner Nominees submitted by Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq.
The Commissioner Nominees screened and confirmed were Abdulmalik Risikatullahi from Asa Local Government, Adamu Jemilat-Baki, Baruten Local Government, George Towoju, Oke-Ero Local Government and Ibrahim Akaje, Ilorin-West Local Government.
The Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu urged the Commissioners Designate to ensure cordial relationship of Executive and Legislature to guarantee even development of the state.He also reminded them not to disappoint their people.
In another development, the Twenty Twenty-Two Budget Estimate of Kwara State has scaled through second reading at the House of Assembly.
The budget proposal passed through second reading following continuation of debate on the General Principles.
Contributing on the General Principles of the Budget Proposal, Deputy Speaker, Mr Raphael Adetiba identified some appropriation in the critical sectors of the state as visible and achievable.
In his remark, Speaker Engineer Yakubu Danladi-Salihu charged lawmakers to be thorough in budget defense as they dissolve into Sub-Committees to work on the Appropriation Bill.
The Appropriation Bill was read for second time by the Clerk of the House, Hajia Halimat Kperogi
The Speaker referred the Appropriation Bill to House Committee on Finance and Appropriation for further legislative action.
