The Speaker, Kwara House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has described the death of Emir of Lafiagi, His Royal Highness Alhaji Saadu Kawu Haliru as a great loss.
Engr. Danladi-Salihu while reacting to the death of the late monarch condoled with the immediate family of late Haliru, lafiagi Emirate and Kwara North in general.
“The death of His Royal Highness Alhaji Saadu Kawu Haliru is a colossal loss to us especially the Lafiagi Emirate and the entire Kwara North as a whole, we will definitely miss him especially his wise counsel as one of the longest-reigning Royal Fathers in the state, may Allah forgive his shortcomings and admit him into paradise”.
“On behalf of my colleagues in the Ninth Assembly, I commiserate with the family of the late monarch, the Lafiagi Emirate and the entire people of Kwara North and urge them to take solace in the fact that the late monarch lived a fulfilled life worthy of emulation”
His Royal Highness Alhaji Saadu Kawu Haliru, the Emir of Lafiagi who ascended the throne of his forefathers in 1975 died today Thursday, July 8, 2021.
