As Muslims celebrate the birth of Holy Prophet Muhammad, the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu has emphasized the need to ponder and reflect as well as emulate the virtues of the last messenger of Islam.

Engr. Danladi-Salihu in his felicitation message to the Muslim faithful in commemoration of the birth of the Holy Prophet explained that this world would be a better place if we all imbibe spirit of love, peace, tolerance and forgiveness as epitomised by the seal of all prophet, Muhammad (peace be upon him).

“As we celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammad, it is important for us to examine and emulate his simplistic life style which centred around love, peace, tolerance and forgiveness.

“In one of his traditions, he says: ‘None of you is a believer until he loves (wishes) for himself what (the exact thing) he wishes for his fellow being’, if we can follow his example, the world would be at peace”

“In line with the prophetic teaching, I want to call on Muslims on this special occasion to continue to pray for our leaders for Allah’s divine wisdom and guidance to pilot the affairs of our state. On behalf of my esteemed colleagues at the Kwara State House of Assembly, the Ninth Legislature, I wish the faithful a happy Maulid Nabiyy”.
