The Kwara State branch of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) has held its 1st Ramadan lecture as Muslims were told to be more committed to service to their creator and to shun lies.
The guest lecturer at the event, an Ilorin based Muslim Scholar, AbdulRazaq Aduagba Al-Adabiyy speaking at RTEAN Secretariat, Airport road, Ilorin. the venue of the lecture said, every man would give account of their deeds in the hereafter.
The Muslim Cleric advised members of the union to always ensure that their family members benefited from the gains of their Labour.
According to him, “One of the actions that Allah appreciates most is when you make your family happy by supporting them financially especially when you spend your money on your house hold “.
He admonished the people to always show a very high level of moral while performing their duties.
Abdulrazaq however commended members of the association for their uprightness and good moral.
Aduagba who described the job of RTEAN as one of the dangerous jobs in the country considering the level of the insecurity in Nigeria today.
In his remark , the chairman of the RTEAN in Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulRahman Olayinka Onikijipa said he has introduced the annual Ramadan lecture to serve as a platform to educate members on their obligations to their God and humanity.
Alhaji Olayinka also said, the development would further unite members and also equipped them morally ,spiritually and religiously.
He then thanked the guest lecturer of the day for accepting their invitation . ” The lecture has provided us with lots of spiritual benefits, and we have also learn from the lecture how we can gain this world and hereafter.
Onikijipa also thanked state executives ,chapel leaders and all other members of the union for presence at the programme.
