NCDMB to set up Liquified Petroleum Gas depots in Kano and Niger states -GM

The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board, NCDMB says plans to set up Liquified Petroleum Gas, LPG depots in kano and Niger States in Northern Nigeria.

The Board’s General Manager, Research, Statistics and Development, Abdulmalik Halilu stated thisthis during a sensitization and stakeholders workshop for the media in the North West geo political zone held in kano .

Abdulmalik Halilu who presented a paper tittled “Nigerian Content 10-year Roadmap: Targets and Milestones” said the depots are to serve as gas processing facility from the oil phase through Ajaokuta, Niger, Kano and other parts of the North.

He said upon commissioning of the Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano, AKK gas pipeline project, the depots will serve as a store and distribution for transporting gas from the Southern part of the Nation to the North.

The General manager explained that technical capability development was among the key priorities of the board,aimed at understanding the Gap that existed in Nigeria from manufactured materials, infrastructure,skills and measures of closing the Gaps.

In his remarks the Director legal services of the Agency Mohammad Babangida said the board was working asidiously in enlightening Nigerians to have courage and patriotism in patronizing Nigerian Goods and services geared towards halting the exportation of employment outside the country .

He maintained that NCDMB was committed in ensuring that Nigerian Goods and services are fully utilized especially in the oil and gas industry.

“Nigerian Content is a philosophy that seeks to drive the utilization of Nigerian goods, services and nigerian people. It is about make in Nigeria, it is not intended to stop foreigners from doing anything in Nigeria but intended to domicile the utilization of Nigerian goods and services.

The workshop was attended by working journalist and stakeholders from the north west Geo political zone of the country.
