New Kwara CP, Assayomo Assumes Office

The newly posted Kwara State Commissioner of Police, Mr Amienbo Assayomo has assumed duty.

A statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Ajayi Okasanmi says Mr Assayomo pledges to consolidate on the achieve of his predecessors by strengthening relationship with security communities in the state to ensure that citizens sleep with their two eyes closed.

The Kwara State Police Boss said he is fully prepared to make maximum use of every available resources both human and material to achieve a more safer state.

A graduate of business administration from University of Lagos and bagged another degree in law at Rivers State University and the Nigerian Law School.

He joined the Nigerian Police as a cadet Assistant Supretendent in 1988 and rose through the ranks to serve in various capacities including Assistant Commissioner of Police Special Fraud Unit,  Lagos, Deputy Commissioner of Police CID, Bauchi, Jigawa States among others.

Mr Assayomo takes over as the new Commissioner of Police in Kwara State from Mr Muhammed Bagega who has been promoted to Assistant Inspector General of Police.
